problems with kernel 2.4

fellows, when i compile the kernel 2.4.x in fedora core 2 (kernel 2.6.5) the mouse dont work..., I already compiled the kernel with sorce and rpm and the mouse still dont work...
in kernel 2.6.x works corretly
my mouse is a ps/2

Are you downgrading from 2.6.5 to 2.4 ? But why??

Did you enabled PS/2 support when compiling the kernel?

I downgrading because the drivers of the modem dosent works with kernel 2.6...
I compile the kernel with the same configuration of the 2.6...
my mouse serial dont work too.
I installed a kernel via RPM and the mouse dont work

What modem do you have? Try fixing this before trying to downgrade. Post all details about your modem, maybe we'll find your driver

Also compile your kernel from source www.kernel.org

i have a pctel winmodem
an i compile the kernel from the source...
its very strange, the mouse appears in the center of screen and dont move
