Problems with i8k and cpuspeed on FC6

I have two problems from installing FC6. (which used to work in FC5)

CPU Speed:

[root@blue-faerie init.d]# service cpuspeed restart
cat: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_driver: No such file or directory
FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufreq.ko): No such device

i8k:
[root@blue-faerie init.d]# service i8k restart
Stopping i8kbuttons: [FAILED]
Loading i8k kernel module: [FAILED]
Starting i8kbuttons: unable to open i8k proc file: /proc/i8k
[ OK ]

In FC5 these worked out of the box. Can anyone give me some direction to where to start looking... or what the problem is?

You may want to try the cpuspeed package from Fedora Development sorry cannot help with the i8k issue; http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...e/development/

While there you may want the firefox-2.0-2.fc7 rpm package(s) also.

Found part of the problem. The cpu was working correctly after installing the kernel i686. Seems FC6 installed i586 by default.

cpuspeed has a new error now.
