Exclamation Problems with firestarter and iptables after a 'yum update'

Hi all, I'm using FC4. A few days ago I ran 'yum update' to upgrade my entire system. Now, I get the following errors during boot:

Code:
Fatal error: Your kernel does not support iptables.
Firewall not started.
rm: Can't remove <</var/lock/firestarter>>: permission denied
When I shut down the machine I get similar errors... something related with SELinux, I think.

However, the firewall seems to be working fine: when I start firestarter after having opened a session, it seems to detect and block all incoming attacks.

Kernel version: 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4 on i686
Firestarter version: firestarter-1.0.3-3

So, my question is, what's wrong with firestarter/iptables and how to solve it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

P.S.: I opened the SELinux configuration tool, and cheked the 'Relabel on next boot' box, but it didn't solve the problem.

Thanks in advance

That thew me too when I first installed firestarter. It's actually no big deal and how the boot process proceeds when using firestarter.

Just got grc.com and make sure you do not have any ports open.

Hi, I went to grc.com, selected to scan all service ports and all of them were stealthed, so I guess firestarter is doing it's job. However I'd like to know why I'm getting these error messages when booting and shutting down the machine and how to solve the problem.
