Problems initialising ´fglrx´ driver for ATI.

I´m still quite new to Linux and have recently installed FC3, I updated a large amount of packages using yum and also installed the fglrx module for my kernel. Every time I start up the OS i get a FAILED message in red during initialisation and an error message ´fglrx.ko module for 2.6.9-1.667 kernel not found´, then some further output appears but I am unable to catch the whole lot.

Please help me workout this problem so I may have 3D support enabled.

Try:

Code:

less /var/log/dmesg
(You may have to be root temporarily to do it.) While you're looking at it you can search by pressing the "/" key and entering "fglrx" (without the quotes). You should see your error message and whatever follows it then.

Just enter "q" to quit.

Hmmm...I looked at the output and tried searching for 'fglrx' but there is nothing listed about that.

Try the same thing only with /var/log/messages and see if the fglrx error messages appear there. Lots more error messages there....

That never worked for me either. Just use the yum remove fglrx.

Then head over to this thread i just made this morning, For i have ati drivers running absolutly beautifully with fc3 fully updated.
