Hello
I have some troubles using the function keys (F1-F12) in xterm or gnome-terminal, or any terminal emulator around.
My network have a Xeon server running RedHat 8, with a ZIM database. All desktops in my network run some kind of Winblows, and connect to the server with NetTerm, and everything goes fine (I have some specific configs for netterm).
My machine is the only desktop in the network that runs linux (FC3), and I am able to connect to the Xeon server with telnet, rlogin, ssh, etc. The software created for the ZIM massively uses the function keys for everything (i.e., F2 - Add client, add items, F3 - Clear all fields, F4 - Change things, etc).
If I go to a tty in my machine (CTRL + ALT + F1, for example), and connect to the Xeon server, all function keys work properly. But I'm a linux

and I use the GUI like 99% of the time. So I tried to use gnome-terminal or xterm for connecting, while tuned to Firefox, Thunderbird, Skype, etc. The thing is, the function keys don't work properly in xterm. Is there a
simple way to configure the F keys to work? I've reached some topics in the forums, with grotesque looking scripts for solving this problem and so far... all too complicated for me, unfortunally
I don't know what else to tell right now, but I can provide more info if needed.
I appreciate and thank in advance all help given.
