I am experiencing a strange problem with simple frames in Firefox. For some reason, it doesn't seem to recognise the target frame when accessing links, and just loads them in the frame that the link was clicked in. For example, see the System Shock 2 Rebirth homepage
. The menu on the left is implemented by means of a frame, but clicking the links causes the target page to open in the menu frame rather than the content frame.
I've tried searching this forum, Bugzilla, and Google, to see if this problem is known, but have had no luck. Currently I am using Firefox 1.0.7 installed via either synaptic or up2date, I forget which, but I think the problem also occurred in previous versions. The sample page posted above works perfectly OK in Firefox under Windows and even Knoppix 3.9 (and of course in other browsers, although I haven't tried Mozilla).
It's not a big problem, but I am finding it more than a little confusing! If anyone could shed any light on it, I'd be grateful.
