Question Problem with desktop effects and nvidia driver

After fresh install of fedora 10, graphics looked fine, but I couldn't enable dektop effects. It simply said "Desktop effects could not be enabled"

I figgured it was my grahpic driver that was to blame, so I added the RPMFusion repository and wrote "yum install kmod-nvidia.x86_64"

kmod-nvidia.x86_64 180.29-1.fc10 installed
kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.15-170.2.24.fc10.x86_64.x86_64 180.29-1.fc10 installed
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia.x86_64 180.29-1.fc10 installed
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.x86_64 180.29-1.fc10 installed

The driver seemed to install properly, however I can't seem to do any changes in the nvidia-settings program, unless I start it from a terminal as su.

I also have a "Livna display configuration" program, that I'm not sure I've ever seen before in a fedora installation.

I have installed compiz fusion. Nothing works when I enable it, and the "top frame" of each window dissapears.

compiz.x86_64 0.7.8-7.fc10 installed
compiz-fusion.x86_64 0.7.8-2.fc10 installed
compiz-fusion-extras.x86_64 0.7.8-3.fc10 installed
compiz-fusion-extras-gnome.x86_64 0.7.8-3.fc10 installed
compiz-fusion-gnome.x86_64 0.7.8-2.fc10 installed
compiz-gnome.x86_64 0.7.8-7.fc10 installed
compiz-manager.noarch 0.6.0-8.fc10 installed
compizconfig-backend-gconf.x86_64 0.7.8-1.fc10 installed
compizconfig-python.x86_64 0.7.8-1.fc10 installed
gnome-compiz-manager.x86_64 0.10.4-4.fc10 installed
libcompizconfig.x86_64 0.7.8-1.fc10 installed

Can anyone help? It would be swell to finally get all these wonderful effects working. I'm using a Geforce 9600GT.

all the best,

Talking Fixed it

This was fixed by removing my nvidia drivers, and then reinstalling the exact same ones. In case anyone else experiences the same!
