What tools ? never herd or used "recovery software (r-linux)"
on fedora the install dvd IS the fixing tool
( or "system rescue cd")
what did you do to break things ?
pop in the fedora install dvd
and run in "recovery mode"
after you are told to and do it
type in "chroot /mnt/sysimage"
navigate to /var/log/boot.log
and read the boot log with " nano "
fedora should have installed that basic terminal based text editor
and look for the error
