playing the cd

Hi

I have a ASUS dvd player, I received a cd in the mail and inserted it in my
window box and clicked and was able to see/hear the presentation.
how can I do this in my FC6.
I don't have "and prefer not to have" kde or gnome. a google search
revealed libcdaudio.
would that be the way to go?

thanks

What format is it? You could start by checking the contents of the CD and see what format those movies are. There should be possible to play them in Linux if you have mplayer or xine installed as well as the codecs. Unless, of course, they are using some very weird movie format...
