The version information will be interesting ti see if you are runnign the version you were expecting.

when ran

when i run php phpinfo.php it gives me all my sever information like php -i would

what was the version and what was the path?

Hi John,

Things seem to be working (so far), now put in the "phpinfo();" on the line immediatly after the command the prints "php is working". Show me your code, as well (after you add the phpinfo command). Thanks,

ok i found the problem

I found the problem now i just need to find out how to fix it
i had installed mod_gzip into my apache server for compression but it will not play nice with php......if anyone has any ideas of why that is please let me know. for now im going to keep it turned off and look around. I hope i can help all of you in return for this long problem. It seems to be a common one with out much documentation
