Package Management

I wanted to start doing some programming with Linux.
So i go to the Package Management and try to install some development tools
When I press update is says that there is an unlocatable package name libxml2
Which is required by libxml-python', '2.6.6', '3' I have looked all over for this package. Where is it?

Where is the 'libxml2' package and how can i find it?

Obi wan i need you help

First and formost comes the world famous question... "What distro are you talking about? FC1... FC2.... Redhat X.X ?"

If it's FC2...

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...6.8-1.i386.rpm
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...6.8-1.i386.rpm

And here is your list of packages
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...s/Fedora/RPMS/

or you can just type
up2date libxml2 libxml2-devel
and it will truck off onto the internet and get them automagically for you.
