OpenOffice and loading time

Hello.

I would like to ask someone for a help with OpenOffice. It is a general question so not a serious problem. I installed Fedora 3 on my laptop and I realized that it is GREAT distro. Wi-Fi and ACPI worked right after installation. My laptop has a 1 Ghz Athlon 4 CPU and everything runs pretty fast except OpenOffice. My question is about OpenOffice. It is a great piece of software, but why it loads so slow? Sorry, the only comparison I can do is to MS Office and that loads really fast on the same laptop. Is OpenOffice going to be optimized in the future so it actually loads at least as fast as MS Office?

Thanks for help.

F.

MS Office is installed directly into the OS, like Internet Explorer and MSN Messanger, with linux distros, I'm pretty sure you can't do that, that's the reason windows native software...like Notepad, and IE, load so fast is because it's part of the operating system, and 1 (one) of the reasons why Open Office loads slowly is because it has to load all of the modules and plug-ins that it uses, with MS Office, all the plug-ins and modules are already loaded into the OS, so it just has to call on them when it loads.
