nVidia GeForce 4200 Go Problem Please Help!

I am currently running Fedora Core 3 and have the appropiate drivers installed but for some reason I can only get the nVidia driver to work until I reboot, then I have to re-install it. This is what I have been doing:

- First I install the driver using the command sh Nvidia-blahblah
- Everything installs and it tells me to configure my xorg.conf
- I edit the line driver "nv" to read driver "nvidia"
- I save, exit, and then startx
- the nvidia driver works perfectly

but when i reboot x crashes and I have to either edit the line back to read "nv" or reinstall the nVidia drivers.

What is going on here? i have looked for somebody with a similar problem but so far I have not had any luck. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

add a "#" in front of 'Load "dri" '

# Load 'dri'

save and exit
