Not able to install Fedora 7

I have never used fedora.
This is the first time i m feeling like using it..
i have a intel pentium 3 processor
256 mb ram
40 GB HDD
648MB SWAP space

Now what happens is when i install fedora 7 from the live cd that i have, it shows me a progress message COPYING LIVE IMAGE TO HARD DRIVE. this goes well till some time.. When a little bit of it is remaining.. the progress stops (i waited abt 45 mins)

Hence m unable to install fedora 7 .. please give sum suggestion as soon as possible

Did you run a verify on the disk before installing? It should prompt you for that, or at least it does with the dvd installer. Do you have a dvd rom? Also try this, boot from the cd, when it gives you the option to boot from the live cd, see if it gives option for text installation. Then modify the boot options and add "linux askmethod" and hit enter. This will enable a network installation. You'll need to make sure this computer has internet access of course.

hey buddy
i checked everything that u mentioned
thanks for ur reply
when i verified the cd i got a message that the last part is not proper so u are recommended not to use this cd.
i downloaded the image again and burnt it on another disk.. the same story repeated..
i downloaded approximately 4 times then i realized that my cd writer might be at fault.. so i took the image and burnt it from my frnds cd writer... still the same story repeats...
this clearly indicates that the file was currupt from source.. (i downloaded via torrents) and i have no more patience to download 700 mb again.
i tried to request their free cds but that is always closed...

You may as well check the md5sum of the Distro before installing or burning onto a disk.

perhaps sth wrong with the disk u burnt.
chk it at the step: check ur disk step plz
