Smile noob Introducing myself

Hi all- just thought i'd introduce myself. I have just got done last night installing and updating fc3 on a machine at home. I've played very lightly with rh9 before, but nothing serious. Now im looking to get hardcore into linux, because i want to and to help me be more employable(im a windows admin by trade -ducking and running ) I went with fedora cause my library has a couple of sams books on it, and cause i was able to dl the newest release for free. I currently have 3 windows servers at home(one DC/dns/dhcp, one file, and one web) i hope to at some point have 2 or 3 linux machines running as well. I'm looking to get certified in w2k3(im an nt4 mcse, skipped w2k) and as i learn an area of windows, i'm looking to learn the same area in linux, providing linux has an area that's similar(IE RIS and jumpstarts, mssql and my sql, etc) so i'll prob be popping in alot. At this point i'm looking to get a desktop install going and get back into the command line swing of things(used to do light unix work about 8 years ago). I've already had to "adjust" my grub.conf to get things to work the way i want(i might not remember much from the old days, but i still remember Vi ! )I think fc3 is really cool and look forward to becoming well versed in it. thanks for reading

How come you chose FC? It's not highly rated I would say.

Why don't you try two distro's.

Debian and slackware maybe.

Redhat is like the MS of linux me thinks.........

That's exactly why I chose it redhat/fc is huge, and has alot of support. Once i get core competancies down, i will for sure try other distros- no doubt. But my gut feeling was that fc was the most rookie friendly in terms of the install and such. It's def proving to be for me so far. tonights work is going to be brushing up on my shell skills and cmd line stuff, and maybe paw around the gui a bit
