Non UK keyboard and passwords

Hi

I am currently running my system with two keyboard layouts, which are activated using the "Keyboard Indicator". One is UK which is no problem, the other is Arabic (which I am currently learning for fun... or something like that). My problem is when the system goes to screen saver and requires a password to unlock it. If my current window is an arabic one (I have different keyboards defined for each window) then I have no way of entering my password! Other than using numbers only I cannot see an obvious way out, other than using the Ctrl-backspace combination to restart the front end...

Thanks,

Michael.

Still stuck with this one...

Does anyone know if I can make the screensaver change the keyboard when it activates?

Any suggestions welcome.

I don't think you can do this with anything else than a XScreensaver patch or something. If you are using the Gnome Screensaver, maybe you can use the default keystroke (Ctrl-Space or whatever) to change it, I think.
