Okay I'm setting up my second Linux box. I am stuck using FC2 because of compatibility problems with newer versions, but no problem. Anyways, I am trying to setup a shared directory for Windows on my Linux box. But, it just will not work. I have tried everything I can think of. I have searched the Internet and followed any advice there to no avail. I've even got a book that describes how to set it up. I mean everything looks like it is correct. But, I just cannot get the folder to show up on my Windows boxes. I even have the exact same settings as my other Linux box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the contents of the smb.conf file.
I've tried what you suggested and still doesn't work.

No, When I bring up the network folders the /share folder doesn't even show up. It isn't until I look at all the networked computers that I even see my computer. Then when I try to access the folders/drives on the computer it gives me the following error:
//Jjinx is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found.
I have tried making it accessible to only specific users to see if that would work, but that too didn't work.
