no trackpad after suspend

I just installed Fedora Core 5 yesterday on my new laptop, and so far it is great. The only problem, which has been a pretty big pain, is that after waking from suspend, the trackpad no longer works. It seems like pretty much everything is functioning well. Thanks for any help!

The other problem after waking from suspend is when I leave X and go to another console, I get the screen burnout thing...
