cyberjean LQ Newbie Registered: Mar 2007 Distribution: Fedora Core 6 Posts: 5 Rep:	Perfect! Thanks for the alsamixer trick! I have a Dell Dimension 9100 running under Fedora Core 6. I had the same error as others (no sound card being detected). Alsamixer shows PCM, Front, Surround, Center and LFE (for the inputs). They were all mutted but PCM. I unmuted the SURROUND channel and it is now working perfectly. Even the sound detection module works well now! Jean
