For some reason or another, my trsh can disappeard from my Gnome desktop. No user account on my machine has it on the desktop, though each one has it on the lower panel at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way I can get my Trash Cans back on the desktops?
Open the Configuration Editor under Applications>System Tools. Go to apps>nautilus>desktop and make sure there is a check mark in the box beside trash_icon_visible. Hope this helps.
