NIC re-assignment / proc_dir_entry '22/eth1' already registered

Hello All,

I have an older desktop (P4 2.2G) that was just installed with Fedora 11. It has a kernel error about 30 seconds or so after login that states the following:

Warning: at fs/proc/generic.c:547 proc_register+0x12b/0x15f()
proc_dir_entry '22/eth1' already registered

This system has two NICs, 2Gb mem, 60Gb disk, Nvidia GeForce.

I found an entry on the web saying that the udev system was renaming the device during startup and leaving the interrupt registered/hanging which caused the kernel error? Does anyone know if this is true, and have a solution to correct this from happening?

**** NEVER MIND ****

Installed a different hard disk, did another install, and the problem went away...

Thanks,
Merlin53
