Network problem


m unable to access internet through firefox or anyother browser but the device eth0 is active, and when ping the website m getting the echo
why i am unable to access the internet? do i need to do any changes? i changed the X11org.conf for the display settings it may be the problem?when my display was 800X600 i accessed the internet whn i changed to 1240x1280 now it is not accessible? give me the solution?

Do you use any proxy?

which proxy are you using?
try to disable the proxy.

Verify your DNS settings
Make sure to use the DNS from your provider
Can you
ping 64.233.183.147

what is the output from

it replies that command not found
and ifconfig is also not working what can i do to work all these commands i set the path export $PATH=$PATH:/usr/bin
still m unable to execute the command

Try to do this as root or give the whole path
/sbin/route -n
/sbin/ifconfig
/sbin/iwconfig

/sbin/route -n
/sbin/ifconfig
