Question need plugins for Totem on Fedora Core 6

I'm running Fedora Core 6 and can not play videos. I'm using totem. error says I need plugins. What plugins do I need and how do I install them?

::sigh:: i can't count how many times i've seen this exact same post.

ditch totem; it has way too many issues and you'll give yourself a headache.

Yes, I prefer vlc too (shouldn't that be yum install vlc???); and mplayer even more. And you'll need mplayerplug-in too. You may have to set up livna repo first, though.

If you haven't, read this (it's for Fedora Core 5 but FC6 is identical):
