Need Help With Muting The Internal PC Speaker When Headphone Are Plugged In.
 
Hi there People..

Using Fedora 17, New to Linux lost intrested in windows Fedora is awesome..
Using HP XW4300 Sound Works Via Pc Speaker & Headset Mic Also Works..

When I plugin the phono jack for headset sound works but does not mute the pc internal speaker.
So I have sound from both outputs which is what I dont want only headset.

Please assist me with command to as I am really new to this.

I have put this command "modprobe snd-hda-intel model=hp" (without quotes).
I put it in /lib/modprobe.d/dist-alsa.conf

The file "dist-alsa.conf" does not exist in /etc/modprobe.d/

Please Help..

Since there dose not seem to be a solution well diconnecting the internal speaker have no choice..
