Hi, guys. I run fc5:
Code:
fedora 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5smp #1 SMP
I've this video:
Code:
agpgart: Detected an Intel 865 Chipset.
I also have the driver loaded (I think):
Code:
[root@fedora ~]# lsmod | grep ^i
i915 22465 1
however, glxgears full screen is giving me this:
Code:
[ig@fedora ~]$ glxgears
2056 frames in 5.0 seconds = 411.028 FPS
2057 frames in 5.0 seconds = 411.380 FPS
758 frames in 5.0 seconds = 151.397 FPS
178 frames in 5.0 seconds = 35.468 FPS
184 frames in 5.0 seconds = 36.735 FPS
186 frames in 5.0 seconds = 37.031 FPS
185 frames in 5.0 seconds = 36.838 FPS
(the sudden drop is when I maximized the window)
I also show this:
Code:
[ig@fedora ~]$ glxinfo | grep Open
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 865G 20050225 x86/MMX/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 6.4.2
OpenGL extensions:
[ig@fedora ~]$
[ig@fedora ~]$ glxinfo | grep -i direct
direct rendering: Yes
[ig@fedora ~]$
Does that mean I'm not using the hardware acceleration? Because it does run pretty slow, like the applications get "painted" on the screen with a noticable lag.
Can anybody help in forcing the system to use Intel's drivers?
TIA!
