Need help immediately...
Hi,
I use Fedora Core 2unix. I accidentally changed the ownerships of the entire unix directories and files. Can anyone who is running the same distro(Fedora core 2) send me the output of the following command :
ls -lR / | grep -v "root"
I can verify the output of yours with mine.

Nice one qyzlp. Maybe you should try with capslock off. It's grep -v not grep -V

My output was this
[remus@localhost ~]$ ls -IR / | grep -v "root"

BTW, I'm using Fedora Core 3 but I hope this helps.

Blah, here Ya Go!
Here is the result of what you asked, I am useing Fedora Core 2 with the 2.6 Kernel...
-Begin Return Of *ls -IR / | grep -v root*-
bin
boot
dev
etc
home
initrd
lib
lost+found
misc
mnt
opt
proc
sbin
selinux
sys
tmp
usr
var
-End Return Of "ls -IR / | grep -v root"-
Hope this helps you out. Oh BTW, If anyone reading this post has any advice on getting my SB LIVE 24Bit working on fedora core, Please help me... I have another thread posted...

Have you ever noticed how every time someone pulls upto a redlight, Then inch further and further ahead, Like they are acually getting that far ahead!! What are they acually thinking? "Hrmmm, I got 9 inches ahead today, Im on my way, Might as well stop for a coffee and danish!"?
