Question My Computer does not boot to cd1

I downloaded the fedora4 i386 ISOs, extracted them and burned to CDs. However, when I try booting from disk 1, nothing happens and the computer boots to the windows OS already there. How do I make a bootable CD or floppies?

It sound like you need to enable cdrom booting in your computers bios.

presuming you haven't already done this, you need to press the del key at the appropriate moment and go into the bios set up. then you can select the order of the devices from which you want to boot.

or it sound like u had extracted the iso file then burned it.
u had to burn iso file as it is by using burn image file or open image file from ur burner proggie.
at this moment u can make floppy image from ur first cd using rawwrite.exe included in first CD.
boot using floppy and type linux askmethod then select cdrom as ur source of OS.
