Mplayer won't work after yum upgrade; Fatal Error! Mplayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: init_video_codec , then comes ; Mplayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM, then comes Mplayer crashed and shouldn't have. Could be a bad code_driver blah, bla, blah
Are you doing a three pass encoding? I get that message whenever I try to seek in the all-audio file "frameno.avi" generated after the first pass of a three pass encoding.
I can't rpm -e my current version of mplayer as I'm told;
[root@localhost root]# rpm -e mplayer
error: package mplayer is not installed
[root@localhost root]# rpm -e gmplayer
error: package gmplayer is not installed
[root@localhost root]# rpm -e mplayer*.*
error: package mplayer*.* is not installed
So that tends to indicate that mPlayer isn't installed. Either reinstall the RPMs, or install from source as suggested above. If you install from source, definitely read the readme and the docs first, as you have to install codecs before compiling mPlayer for mPlayer to know they exist.
Sounds to me like you 1) need to add the repositories that contain the dependent programs (since they are apparently not being found on the ones you're using); 2) need to install the public key for the repositories you're using; and/or 3) disable verification, as yum also seems to be complaining that it's not finding the key signature, which can also prevent installation if RPM is configured that way.
I got it downloaded and installed and it works great, but now when I call up a video url, I can't control the screen size. It is full screen once called from the browser, but if I paste the url directly from gmplayer I can control it fine. How do I control the plugin/ Also, where can I get just the browser plugin for realplayer? I have the player and it works fine for most url's but not for some.
Thanks again for all the help.
