Mplayer and Firefox

Think I installed the proper plugin for mplayer to play videos within firefox. The problem is that when I click on a video at CNN or GameSpot. I see that mplayer launches and plays the sound but I get no video.

Anything I forgot or need to do?? Installed Mplayer and plugins via yum without fault.

Get the essential codecs and put them in /usr/local/lib/codecs or /usr/lilb/win32 (I'm not sure which).

Installed the mozilla VLC plugin

just type

yum install vlc* and then chose to install the mozilla plugin. Was unable to install the plugin from yumex but could install it from command line. The codecs were install first though.
