movie player tries to open directories

Greetings
I am running Fedora3. I chose Movie Player to be the default AVI aplication and now when trying to use the file browser in KDE Konquerer, Movie Player tries to open everything, all directories etc. As it tends to fail this makes browsing difficult.
Any idea how I acn change this back to sanity
Michael
