mouse wheel fedora firefox

I have 4 PCs sharing a KVM switch. I have used fedora for a number of years but I have a problem when using firefox. The problem is that when I use the mouse wheel to scroll up a web page, the browser toggle pages. So I want to move up the screen I end up changing pages.

I installed chromium on a PC running f11. Same problem. So, it is not restricted to firefox.

I thought this was a problem with the KVM so I installed slackware on one PC. No problems there. So maybe fedora has problems with my KVM switch?

In short then. Using the mouse wheel to scroll up in a browser in fedora 9/10/11 produces unexpected results. Is this a fedora problem? Is it possible that there is a setting somewhere which defines mouse wheel activity?
