Mouse/Keyboard don't work at log in screen with Fedora 11 preview

I'm quite new to Linux and I've tried several times to run Fedora 11 Preview from the CD live disc. When it gets to the log in screen there's no mouse pointer and the keyboard also seems to be dead. I have to close it down with the power button. Any ideas why this is happening? Assuming I can get this sorted out what roughly is the size of the initial update download.I've only got mobile broadband at the moment so speed and data size is an issue. Thanks for any help you can offer.

1 if it a usb then give it a few minutes, F11 is a super fast boot so it could still be thinking and loading drivers in the background. If its PS/2 then i have no idea. you using a standard US keyboard?

It is probally an Xorg.conf problem since the mouse and keyboard apparantly worked during the install.
