Question modules.conf in Fedora 3??

I am trying to adjust the sound parameters so skype will function properly, but I cannot find a etc/modules.conf or an etc/modules.d/alsa. As such I am not able to see if the configuration is correct or not and thus cannot adjust it. Does anyone know where I find it or some other config file for the modules?

..so does this mean 2.6 does not have a /etc/modules.conf ?

I was hoping to downgrade a 2.6 kernel in Fedora to 2.4 ...How would I do this ?

Yes, 2.6 does not use modules.conf.

Add a /etc/modules.conf for 2.4 - it won't conflict with modprobe.conf for 2.6.
