How do I set up an Modem Connection in Fedora Core 5? I tried it but it didn't detect my serial modem cable.
Then I typed the username and password and then when I tried connecting it said failed to connect with error2. please help.
Can't remember the exact details now, it's a long time since I did it. But my modem wasn't recognised either, I just set it up for the serial port the modem was connected to.
Go to internet configuration wizard. If your modem is connected to serial port 1, select /dev/ttyS0 for your modem, if it's serial port 2 then /dev/ttyS1. enter phone number internet provider etc, and you should be connected. If not tell us where that process fails.
