Yes. I only maintain the trunk now and periodically export revisions for the Sourceforge releases. If you are using SVN, you will get whatever revisions I announce here (and sometimes bug fixes that I don't bother announcing.)

Hmm. I checked out trunk from here:

https://mlbviewer.svn.sourceforge.ne...lbviewer/trunk

But I still get this error message:

Quote:
vidserver@ubuntu:~/mlbviewer-2013-sf-3$ ./mlbplay.py e=14-347259-2013-05-09 v=cle j=05/09/13
Error: unknown variable argument: e
EDIT: That's probably because the link in the OP is revision 375. Whoops. Well, time to find where the repo is in this huge thread! (Maybe the OP can be edited with a link to the latest repo?)

EDIT2: Which is here, for anyone wondering:

svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/mlbviewer/code/trunk mlbviewer-2013

Original post was from 2006. Not sure I've seen Fugazi (OP) in a year or three. Sourceforge migrated to a new system so the old URL will no longer work. Usually people find mlbviewer off Sourceforge and then come to the SVN from the README or Code section of the sourceforge page. Probably the first time I've heard since 2006 that anyone started at the head of the thread.

EDIT: 375 was probably the last check-in of 2012 or a pre-season check-in of 2013. So welcome to 2013. A whole lot has been added to mlbviewer since last season including:

- master scoreboard view
- line scores
- box scores
- standings
- RSS news feed
- scrollable window
- re-sizable window
- customizable keybindings

I totally understand that you enjoy scripting mlbplay. That's what it's there for. (Well, that and a way to show any other developer how to use the core library to build your own interface.) But you may want to give the new mlbviewer a whirl. Heck, the scoreboard, line scores, and box scores alone might be a great compliment to also scripting mlbplay.

Checked in a change to support the 1800K condensed game. If your speed= parameter (or use the 'p' key in non-NexDef mode to change speed) is 1800 or faster, condensed game will use the 1800K stream. Otherwise, it will use the 1200K stream.

Originally, I had resisted using this in case people didn't have the connection speed for 1800K. For perspective, when I first took over this program six years ago, the stream choices were 400K and 800K with condensed at 600K. But I figure if you have the speed to watch a full broadcast at 1800 or faster, then you can handle an 1800 condensed game. If you regularly use the NexDef (mlbhls) streams, just set speed=1800 in your config.

Eventually, I'm going to normalize the min_bps and max_bps values to accept the kbps values instead of bps and then I can do a check on max_bps for nexdef users.

SVN revision 474: 1800K condensed games now supported

In this revision, if your speed= parameter is 1800 or faster in ~/.mlb/config, condensed games will request the 1800K stream.

For non-premium subscribers, please verify this works for you. I am a premium subscriber so I can't test this case. If this doesn't work, I'll have to back out the change and think of another way to support it.

For non-subscribers, do not put a user= and pass= in your config file (or leave them blank) and this should work.

In honesty, though, I have only tested that I get the URL correctly. I'm at work right now which does not allow the RTMP streams through the firewall.

No... i tried all this but the speed of CG remains 1200k....if i put 1800 in speed=parameter (or use the p key in non-def mode) and then press 'c' in mlbviewer the speed of the video don't change (it remains 1200k).....then, i tried with mlbplay (mlbplay c=... j=... p=1800) but the CG video starts always at 1200k with the window size at 640x360... :-) instead,1800k is shown at 960x540

Unfortunately it turns out my local library, where I usually get online, seems to have blocked my ability to update via svn but I'd love to get the latest code. Is there an (fairly) easy way to see what files have been updated since the last update I've gotten so I can simply download them from https://svn.code.sf.net/p/mlbviewer/code/trunk/ ? If I try to use svn up I always get "svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.code.sf.net': Connection timed out", which I'm attributing to a filter on the library's wifi server.

I would suggest the http:// URL over the svn:// URL but it looks like you are already doing that. Give me a day or two and I'll update the Sourceforge release with the latest code.
