Making FC6 floppy install disks.
Hi.
I have a server that doesn't recognize my USB CD-ROM. The server is an ASUS P1600R-S5. I've tried hacking the FC5 floppy install disks from here : http://www.thisiscool.com/fcfloppy.htm All I did was to use the first install disk, then create my own split packages of the isolinux files found in the isolinux folder on the DVD. All works well, until the FC6 installer tries to mount some file-systems, then I get these error messages: isofs_fill_super : bread failed, dev=md1, iso_blknum=16, block=32 No filesystem could mount root, tried ext2 iso9660 kernel panic - not syncing : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(9,1) Could someone please help. Do I need to add something to this row: loadlin vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img in the file fedora.bat located on the first disk? Feedback will be greatly appreciated :) Thx, /mysteron |
Why not use the included FC bootfloppy and do a network install?
