Locking down the Desktop

Is Pessulus the best tool for locking down a gnome session? If not, any suggestions? My distro is Fedora 11

I would actually prefer to hard code it myself, so if you let me know the main file/s to edit then that would be great

When you say "locking down", what - in specific - are you referring to? Removing access to particular applications? Making GNOME run in a "kiosk" mode?

Effectively, yes. User will only be able to launch a virtual machine or shut down the computer, I want to restrict everything else from them.

I'm also looking at a means of accessing Fedora as an admin without having anything visible on the desktop to login as. Is a keystroke combination possible for this?
