Locked out of Fedora10

Just did a fresh install of FC10. It loaded and booted up normally. I was able to log in under my usual user account and have been using the box for a couple of days with no problems. I've been able to SSH and FTP back and forth to it numerous times.

Upon rebooting I've found the mouse and keyboard do not function, nor am I able to access remotely either via FTP or SSH. Yes, I have installed servers for both and set them up and tested logins to each, so I know they were working.

I booted from the Live CD and took a look at the log files, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary that caught my attention.

From the Live CD boot, I did a chroot /mnt/sysimage and attempted an init 5, but apparently that is not allowed. So then I simply issued the "startx" command.

No luck there either.....the xserver started up and the gnome login screen came up, but still did not allow mouse or keyboard input.

Any idea where I can look to try and track down this problem?

This could be becayse something in the xorg.conf file has changed, see if there is a backup of the file at /etc/X11/ and replace it.

Yeah, I looked all through /var/log/xorg.log and couldn't find anything amiss.

I finally just gave up and reinstalled. Working fine now.
