Lex and Yacc on Federo 2.0


Hi ,

Can anyone point me to where I can get Lex and Yacc ( or Flex and Bison ) rpms for Federo 2.0 .

do we need to separately install flex ,bison on fd2?

ain't the tools in fedora core 2 bison and flex?

Do we need to install them separately?

Hi ankit ,

yes that is the defaults .. and they should be on your system.

I guess did not have them at that point of time or rather did not choose them during installation and later did not have the cds so asked for them here.

I need a bit of help regarding my project. I am designing a compiler.

I am assuming this is a homework assignment you have and not a real compiler -- it would take a lifetime
My best suggestion would be to read a good online tutorial

There is an O'Reilly book available as well.
Btw, m not into compilers at present , so doubt can help you any more than this.
