laptop becoming hot

hi.

since yesterday i'm running fedora on my laptop. there were no installation problems.

the only problem is that the laptop is becoming very hot after 1.5 hours and the fans are running all the time. does anybody know the problem?
apm is installed.

cpu-usage is most of the time under 20% so there is no cause why the fans should run all the time with full power ...

greetings,
nitronic

proper cpu type recognized in kernel?

if your running dual boot, be sure it's not hardware by running a different os..

no, its not a dual-boot-system. in the meantime i found out that the problem was the running apm deamon. my laptop doesn't support apm, only acpi. so i turned on acpi and all is running fine :)

thx for helping me.
