Konsole... HELP! need to revert to regular text.
 

Ok... so i have a dumb newbie problem... I wanted to make my Konsole look really cool with nice bright white text with a transparent background... I end up turning it into a Linux console and now I am SCREWED. I need to change this to adjust other devices and problems.... Once I get this, I am going to backup my hard drive!!! Any input... whether it be in a failsafe terminal or Gnome... I need to set it back to the way it was!

What exactly is wrong with your terminal? Could you be a little bit more specific?

Well.... the background has a blue curve, a cursor and that's about it right now. Nothing else... I can't remember how to log in to the desktop with my screen name simultaneously to fix this and the command to run the basic terminal... can you help me with this?

Okay... so it is set up i THINK as a Linux terminal...

I read somewhere that I can go to "Run Command" in KDE and with "More Options" I can run in a terminal and enter the following either...

reset

or

cat /bin/ls

what will these commands do? I didn't come across some "newbie killer" page that screws up their entire machine (happened to me with XP and 98 years ago...)
