Kmenuedit does not save changes

Hi,

I have been trying to add an application to the KDE menu, using kmenuedit. I added my application and I chose the icon, but it refused to save the changes. When I tried to save the changes, I was greeted with:
"Menu changes could not be saved because of the following problem:

Could not write to /home/noha/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu"

The following is also the output of launching the command "kmenuedit" from a terminal (konsole)

Code:
[noha@localhost ~]$ kmenuedit
[noha@localhost ~]$ X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20
  Minor opcode: 0
  Resource id: 0x4c003ec
QInputContext: cannot create input context for non-toplevel widgets

[noha@localhost ~]$ kmenuedit
[noha@localhost ~]$ X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20

  Resource id: 0x4c0189b
I have cd'ed to /home/noha/.config/menus/ but I did not find the file applications-kemnuedit.menu there!

What should I do?

I use an AMD 64 Athlon machine, with Fedora 7, and I of course I run KDE.

Noha

PS.
This problem never exited on my 32bit machine.

Your permissions are incorrect on the "menu" directory. Please do "ls -al /home/noha/.config/" and post here.

Thank you for the reply,

It was a permission problem. I used:
Code:
chown -R username /home/username
and all works fine,

Noha
