Kernel Update cause Display Problems

Hi,

after a kernel update (to ) i tried to reinstall the drivers for nvidia fx 5200 (original from the nvidia website NVIDIA-linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1.run). Before updating the system, everything works fine. now if i try to use the driver, my LCD shows something like "wrong signal" or "signal overload". Do somebody know how to handle this problem?

What distro do you use?

Always first look in the repos if there isn't already a package in your repos for your distribution.

sorry, forgot to tell the distro. it's fedora core 6, Kernel 2.6.20-1.2948.fc6.
