kernel 2.6.2 install, then drm problem

hey all,

i installed kernel 2.6.2 on my system using rpms from this page:

http://people.redhat.com/~arjanv/

i did so in order to get better agp support, so that i could get my ati randeon 9000 pro 3d acceleration to work with the ati drivers.

however, when i install them, i get an errror:

XFree86 drm includes at /lib/modules/2.6.2-1.182/build/include/ ../drivers/char/drm do not fit this driver.
This driver is designed to work with X4.1.0 or higher.
You can match this by getting Linux kernel 2.4.8 or higher.

Obviously my kernel version is higher than 2.4.8 ... any ideas what i can do?

Code:
localhost:/usr/src/modules/fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0# ./make.sh
ATI module generator V 2.0

initializing...
Error:

This is with a Debian custom package found here http://xoomer.virgilio.it/flavio.sta...installer.html, but you can see I am having a similar problem getting the ATI drivers installed on my debian machine. As far as I know everything is in the right place, all the sources and headers exist and are pointed to correctly. I think the problem may be that I am using a packaged kernel that has all the drm modules installed (but they aren't used) and the headers directory indicated in the error doesn't have any of those modules there. Try re-compiling your kernel without any DRM modules or somehow add the proper files for the modules to your headers directory and try again. That's the best advice I can give for both of us right now.

Tried that it did not work -- Well the patch patched but still the same XFree problem and FDC 2 as we know uses Xorg

It think Rambo's got one here but the site is down and we need another copy of the patch if anyone has it to see if it works.
