joining windows 2008r2 from samba
 
is it possible to join windows 2008 server to samba3.4.5 fedora 3?is the process the same as joining win xp sp2?when i am using winxp sp2 the domain from samba works fine now a tried to install win server2008r2 it can't join the domain as i did in winxp.

so how can i join win server 2008 from samba?is there other way?

Creating/using a simple Windows share: easy. Yes, it's essentially the same as XP.

Joining a Windows Server 2008 domain: also possible, but a bit more complicated:

Windows 7 is a client. All you can do is shares. You don't have to worry about A/D. So it should be easy, too ;-)
