JFS filesystem


Hi all,
when I want to install FC8, I can choose filesystem type for each partition

the offered types are: ex2, ex3, vfat, xfs

but what about JFS , Reiserfs? how can I install them ?

Support for Fedora 8 was dropped last month. You would be much better served going to a supported version (F8 or F10).

you mean that I can`t have JFS on FC8 and I need to install newer versions

I also tried FC9 it doesn`t have JFS support

maybe the problem is with the version that I have...
how can I install JFS

I do not think any Fedora version so far has official support for JFS. My point was that it is a bad idea to start with a version that is no longer supported.

thanks but
how can I get the installer prompt?
I`ve installed Fedora from a DVD.....it doesn`t have any text mode & prompt
is it possible to explain more simply
