java-gnome event bindings not working FC3

I have been banging my head againt a wall with java-gnome. I used the suggest yum installer to get the java-gnome libraries for FC3 installed on my os from //people.redhat.com/fitzsim/java-gnome/i386 . However, when I run a glade application none of events bind to the java code. Also, the app termination event is not thrown when the window is closed.

I have tried to build java-gnome from source and hit lot of errors when I run make.

Any help would be appreciated.
