Thumbs down Java does not work in mozilla/firefox

Upgraded from FC4 . Not many installation problems . But sites using Java do not work .
Have installed the java plugin as instructed in www.java.com in the same manner as for FC4. Any help welcome.

Have you enabled java from the web browsers?
