Is Current FC3 Distro Same as 6 months ago

Do the downloadable iso's stay the same trhoughout the life of a Fedora release, or are they updated at pretty much the same rate as the updates we get thru yum?

In other words, if I dl'd the distro today would it be identical to the one I installed 6 months, or so, ago.

My issue is the wireless network card on a new laptop. I want to have the best chance at Fedora recognizing it immediately on installation. Otherwise, I won't be able to get the updates. Is there any hope?

the iso's themselves are not altered, but there will be additional update rpm's if you want to update those.

as for your wireless.... having no idea what the card is, can't really say.

if it wasn't recognized automatically, the likelyhood that it will be after some YUM updates is probably pretty slim.. is it a card that is generally supported under Linux??

It's an RA2500 ... Newly opensourced drivers, and I'm told that recent Fedora kernels support it pretty well ... but I don't know what I was thinking about when I wrote the question. Must have been late at night. The obvious solution is to connect the laptop to the router by cable, get everything updated, then worry about the wireless card.

you would be correct on that one... providing it has integrated nic.. :)
