Exclamation IRQ smp_affinity


Hi,

I have installed fedora-2.6.9-1.681 on SMP 4 way processor(Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.00GHz).
the output of

when i tried to bind IRQ processing to specific CPU or number of CPUs by setting up smp_affinity,affinity value getting changed but within secs the sysetm randomly chaging with some other values..(for IRQ's on the system).

I think you undestood me.

Any help appreciated!

Since this is Fedora, you are probably running the service "irqbalance" which is causing the IRQ's to be shifted around every 10 seconds or so.
